Brotherland takes viewers to a secret place where a group of men live outside the normal confinement of modern society and the expectations of civilization. The para-fiction work, set in an undisclosed location, combines black and white documentary influenced photographs with portraiture and essays to create a world of tenderness, safety and ease among the group members. The work explores themes of masculinity, gender roles and meaning of identity.
